AFTERSHOCK ETHIC LAUNCH NIGHT

I arrived early to help rep set up the speakers, i went on after, relaxed with a pint so that people could here tunes
Then Scot-e and flame( dpa) turned up and come on the decks and in company of Sophia

Some people i knew locally turned up, nice suprise, chatin to them. Some people didn't know i could mix, they do now.

I went back into the get my hoody because it getting a bit cold, didn't know what the time it was, went straight on the decks and i had good feedback

Great to see Raw Theory appear and they went on after me with Detanata MC. They suprised me a little with their own tunes they had on CD.
They played stigma for us, what a tune, pure evil, stood there bangin my head to an evil bassline.
i had not heard drum & bass on a rig in a while and they killed it
Everyone i knew kept asking me when the ragga twins were coming, i said i didn't know. I thought about 11-12,but found it was just before 1am from the set list.
Everyone bought killers tunes, i was glad i bought the gdub remix of roots and future, knew that would go down and scot-e was asking me about it.
The place got fairly full, throughout the evening, its started getting busy quiet early on
I was kind of keeping an eye on wristbands when people were dancing.
Melissa, a women who works with us turned up with her boyfriend, celebrating her grades success, was going to ask them if they had their bands but i see they had them on.
Some locals turned up and people recognised me from the shop i had. Paul turned up and had a look around, didn't know he was coming, nice to see him there.
Had a chat about clubs in the area, at the end of the night.
Urban troopers got on the decks and mic after Raw Theory and they were dam good, with one mic between them changing between the tune breaks.

I think some of the DJ's had a problem with the monitor being behind them when its is usually in front.
At one point, there wasn't any bass. which i didn't notice when i was on the decks because a guy wanted more bass and thought he ment a tune
but was fine after a few minutes
Sophia and laze's( raw) girl was taking pics all the way through the night, which is good of them to do and caught everyone on Camera

After the Aftershock crews had their sets, it was time for the Ragga Twins and DJ Phantasy on the decks. Blindin set as you would expect

but i thought they would have come a bit earlier, but one of those things i guess if they were coming from a great distance.
EVeryone was dancing like a maniac, great beats from everyone and ears were pounding, good sign
Everyone had a great time, i certainly did, glad to play a set after a while, great to meet Raw and dpa, urban tropper and the girls.
As far as i know miss represent didnt play. She come in front of the crowd and got a big raw as she does, but i don't think there was time, because she was collecting money all night.
Liquid lounge is a small venue, held the sound well, but don't know about future Aftershock events, have to wait and see.

The sound did go off at once stage, but someone pulled a plug out, but you expect anything at a live events
Even though i'm on the crew, i recommend going to Aftershock nights
I highly recommend Raw Theory, purely for their own tunes which have been signed to Smokey Sounds and syntax error and after hearing some of their tune, including stigma on reps 5k rig, not suprise.
Big up to silkcut for the flyer design. some of us did local promotion, i put some around and told people.
See what happens in the future in Banbury. Its great town for a night, ive been out in the past, great times are to be had by all
